The Khayyam Magazine, produced by the Melbourne Senior Campus, was the first student magazine launched to showcase the creativity of students across various forms, including visual art, poetry, creative writing, and essays. In 2021, the Kaya Magazine was introduced at the Caroline Springs Campus, continuing this tradition of celebrating student talent.

Both publications serve as platforms to highlight the best works from the student body each year, providing a space for students to express themselves and share their creative achievements with the school community.

Khayyam Magazine 2024 (MSC)

This year our students at AIA had the opportunity to write with Ms. Carolyn Tate, an author in the Writers Workshops organised at our school for Years 6-10. The writing is mainly in creative narrative form on various topics for your enjoyment.

With this magazine, our students say Kaya (Hello) in the Noongar language of the First Nations people. The use of Kaya is to remember the past and ongoing connection of the traditional owners with the sacred land. With Kaya, our students acknowledge the universality of human connection through the power of the written word.
