Religious Education

Religious education at AIA seeks to impart the knowledge of Islam to our young generation of Australian Muslims. We aim to instil in them Islamic values that will guide and lead them into a healthy, well-adjusted life whereby they contribute to the growth of the society in which they live.

Religious Studies focus on four areas: Aqeedah, Deeniyyat, History and Quran. All areas are incorporated to educate and build an understanding and love for Allah (SWT) and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Religious education of Australian Muslim students is of utmost importance and by doing so we seek to:

  • Preserve our Islamic culture and identity
  • Provide an Islamic environment where students are comfortable and free to practise Islam and enhance their faith and Islamic knowledge
  • Teach Islamic civilization, history and Islamic achievements
  • Develop good Australian Muslim citizens
  • Prepare students for active participation in the wider local and international community
  • Study and memorise surahs in the Quran
